Need

A Colorado dispensary needed help from AstraPouch® in creating a safe way to deliver cannabis infused drinks to the local market without it getting into the hands of children/minors.

Challenges

Given the nature of cannabis products, the drink pouch had to:

• Have a child-resistant screw cap closure
• Eliminate the smell of cannabis
• Keep the product fresh

Solution

AstraPouch® manufactured an opaque, 100mL beverage pouch with a child-resistant screw lid. By adding a foil barrier layer, all smell was completely eliminated and product freshness was maintained. Given the mini nature of the pouches, they are compatible with the AstroFill115 and fill quickly, easily, and inexpensively.
